ChatGPT's Mac meeting plugin keeps your notes but not the recording
OpenAI's Meetings beta for Pro and Business users saves summaries in ChatGPT Space and deletes the audio afterward.

OpenAI has added a Meetings plugin to the ChatGPT desktop app on macOS, promoted by ChatGPT on October 6. It is a beta for Pro and Business users, with Enterprise support coming soon and Windows support planned. It takes notes based on what is said in a meeting and saves personalized summaries with action items in ChatGPT Space, where you can keep them private or share them with your team. You can then ask ChatGPT to update a project plan or draft a follow-up.
OpenAI says the audio is deleted once your notes are ready and cannot be accessed or replayed.
Deleting the audio does not mean the notes and summaries go away.
Read the summary before you share it
Our take: the follow-up features are the appeal and the risk. A summary shared with a team can carry a misheard decision further than private notes would, and with no audio to replay, the summary is all you have to check.
OpenAI's guidance for its existing Record feature tells users to check local laws and get consent before recording others, and that applies here too. In managed workspaces, Space sharing follows your organization's settings, so admins should review them first.
