Apple Home Collection brings LG and Schneider gear into the Home app
Apple's first branded Home accessory lineup with LG and Schneider starts in December, managed only in Apple Home.

Apple introduced Apple Home Collection on October 13: cameras, thermostats, sensors, a video doorbell, and a lock designed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. Setup starts with a tap on iPhone, and everything is managed in the Apple Home app with no separate vendor account. Availability begins in December at apple.com, the Apple Store app, and Apple Stores, with some accessories early in 2027. Apple says Home app data is end-to-end encrypted so Apple, LG, and Schneider cannot read it.
What ships and what it costs
- LG Video Doorbell Wired: from $249.95 (US, Canada, UK)
- LG Floodlight Cam: from $399.95; Outdoor Cam Plug-In from $299.95; Indoor Cam Plug-In from $199.95
- LG Smart Deadbolt Lock: from $349.95 (US and Canada), Ultra Wideband auto-unlock with home key
- LG Smart Thermostat: from $199.95; Temperature Sensor from $39.95 (US and Canada)
- Schneider Home Smart Thermostat: from $199.95; Room Sensor from $39.95 (US and Canada)
Cameras capture up to 2.5K, recognize people, pets, vehicles, and packages, and store 10 days of event history in supported iCloud+ without a separate camera subscription. Live views appear in Home on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, and HomeView. The Indoor Cam tilts to stop monitoring when someone returns. The lock supports Matter and Aliro and can work locally without internet for core access.
What this is not
This does not mean third-party HomeKit or Matter accessories are obsolete, or that Mac users must buy LG or Schneider gear to keep using Home. Several products skip the UK or EU in Apple's footnotes, and HomeView itself is not sold in the EU. Long video history still depends on iCloud+. Apple Intelligence video descriptions need eligible plans.
Our take: for Mac-centric households already deep in Apple Home, a single-app accessory line with clear prices is useful. Compare wiring and install costs against Matter devices that already work before replacing them.
Thermostats may need separate C-wire adapters or trim plates sold as accessories.
