Apple's new AI features arrive with different limits on each device
A system update is only the first check: hardware, language, region, and usage limits also determine what you get.

Apple's September 14 software rollout adds Siri AI and new intelligence features across its platforms. For readers deciding what to try first, the availability details are more useful than a blanket promise of smarter devices.
Siri AI begins as an English-language beta. Apple says additional languages follow in October. At launch, supported Mac and Vision Pro users in the EU can access it, while iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS users there cannot.
Check the task, not just the version
Our take: choose a specific job, such as working with onscreen information or organizing browser tabs, and check whether the feature is available on the device you use for it. Two updated devices may not offer the same experience.
Apple also specifies daily limits for certain server-dependent AI features. These are not unlimited tools merely because they are built into the operating system.
The rollout offers new possibilities, but a useful upgrade assessment starts with those boundaries rather than assuming every announced feature is available everywhere.
