OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 with a feature it calls Intelligent UI to ChatGPT on October 7. Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users get it first in the Chat tab, using GPT-6 Sol, and Free and Go users follow from October 8 with GPT-6 Luna. OpenAI says Enterprise availability depends on workspace admin settings.
Intelligent UI lets answers include charts, forms, tappable buttons, diagrams, and small tools such as calculators, while still using plain text when that works best. GPT-6 can also start answering while it continues to think, then add findings without another prompt. The Pro reasoning option stays on GPT-6 Astra and does not support Intelligent UI.
This does not change the models behind ChatGPT Work or Codex.
Decide whether interactive answers belong in your work
Our take: a chart or calculator built inside a reply is quick to read but hard to audit. For anything headed into a report or a client email, ask for the numbers and assumptions in plain text as well.
OpenAI's speed and quality comparisons with GPT-5.6 come from its own internal evaluations. An answer that arrives in stages also means the first part you read may not be the final word.
