Magic Keyboard with Touch ID adds fingerprint authentication to a compact desktop keyboard for Apple silicon Macs. This white, US English USB-C version combines the Mac function-key layout with wireless typing and a rechargeable battery for a desk built around a MacBook, Mac mini, or iMac.
Key Features:
- Touch ID supports secure authentication, including unlocking a compatible Mac.
- The compact US English layout retains Mac multimedia and function-key controls.
- Bluetooth wireless operation reduces the number of cables needed during everyday typing.
- The internal battery is rated for about a month or more between charges, depending on use.
- A USB-C port and included woven USB-C cable support charging and pairing with your Mac.
This version is useful when a docked MacBook’s own Touch ID sensor is out of reach, or when a desktop Mac needs fingerprint access. Apple specifies an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 15.1 or later. The compact layout does not include a numeric keypad.
